Independent. Family-run. St. Louis.
Pro tools.
No middleman markup.
Charged Tools is an independent US retailer of genuine Milwaukee and DeWalt power tools. We started this in St. Louis because the big-box markup on a $150 tool shouldn\'t be $40. We keep overhead lean, pass the savings through, and treat crews like the professionals they are.
Why we started this
Walk into any Home Depot or Lowe\'s and look at the price tag on a Milwaukee 2953-20 impact driver: $229. Same tool, same serial format, same warranty — we sell it for $189. $40 of that spread is retail overhead, store experience, shareholder returns, and the cost of every Home Depot TV ad you\'ve ever seen. None of which helps you drive a fastener.
We run a single warehouse in St. Louis. One team pulls orders, packs them, and puts them on a USPS truck. We don\'t advertise on TV. We don\'t operate rewards programs where you pay a premium to earn points back. Every dollar we save on overhead goes back into the price tag.
The business is growing. We\'re now licensing the stack that runs this store — voice concierge, AI project-to-cart, order automation, contractor memory — to other independent tool resellers who want to compete with the big-box operators instead of get absorbed by them. That product is called Charged OS.

How we operate
FAQ
Is Charged Tools an authorized Milwaukee / DeWalt dealer?+
We buy through authorized US distributors. The tools we ship carry genuine manufacturer serials, original packaging, and full manufacturer warranty. We are an independent reseller — not a Milwaukee or DeWalt subsidiary.
Where are you shipping from?+
Our warehouse is in St. Louis, Missouri. Orders placed before 2pm Central ship same-day. Standard transit for the lower 48 is 1-5 business days; Alaska and Hawaii take 5-10.
How are your prices lower than Home Depot?+
We run a single warehouse with lean overhead — no retail footprint, no franchise markup, no co-op marketing tax. We also don't offer a rewards program that you'd pay for in higher base prices. Savings typically run $20-$40 per tool vs. the big-box equivalent.
Who runs Charged Tools?+
Joshua Black, founder of Midwest Auto & Commerce LLC. Michai Media is our parent brand group — we also operate Charged OS (the software platform that powers this store) and consult for other independent tool operators.
What if a tool fails after 30 days?+
Milwaukee's and DeWalt's manufacturer warranties (5 and 3 years respectively) apply and travel with the tool, regardless of retailer. For anything within the first 30 days, we handle it directly — refund or replacement, no restocking fees.
